Working on more cones today. See the ones on the right, post shaping and soldering, they're about to have their noses filed off just like their comrades on the left.
The first steps towards some geometric aluminium brooches and hairclips I'm working on...Who would have thought drawing out a few shapes would take an hour and a half?!
The sun was out so I decided to do a little alfresco piercing (that's sawing to you non-metalers), thus acquiring a sunburnt shoulder. Weather rarely permits outside work but it's super handy with the aluminium as even the smallest amount of dust can contaminate my other metals - it's corrosive to silver when heated. Dicing with death, I am!
Hurrah! I woke up befuddled this morning to find this rock upon my hand. Slowly, as the mist began to clear, I recalled a drunken brass-for-brass swap with genius jeweller Sandra Tepla.
